8. Invoice details

All the concepts and amounts invoiced are detailed and explained here:

  1. Billing for contracted power

This is the amount you pay for the contracted power. It is calculated by multiplying the contracted kW by the price per kW of your tariff and by the number of days of the billing period. This amount includes and details what is billed for the access toll, which is the payment made for the use of the distribution networks.

  1. Billing for energy consumed

This is the total amount you pay for the energy you have consumed. It is obtained by multiplying the kW consumed during the billing period by the price per kWh of the contracted tariff. This amount includes and details what is billed for the access toll, which is the payment made for the use of the distribution networks.

The sum of the items detailed in points 1 and 2 gives the first subtotal.

Other items are detailed below:

  1. Discounts: if you have any discount on the fixed or variable price according to the tariff you have contracted.
  2. Services: if you have any contracted service.
  3. Electricity tax: this is a tax on electricity established by the government. It is calculated using a pre-established formula.
  4. Rental of metering and control equipment: this is the amount paid for the rental of the meter. If you own it, you will not be charged for this item.

The sum of items 3, 4, 5 and 6 gives the second subtotal (other items).

The sum of the two subtotals gives the total amount.

Finally, it is applied:

  1. VAT or IGIC: this is the tax on consumption established by the Government.

The TOTAL INVOICE AMOUNT is the total amount to be paid.

9. Destination of the invoice amount

We show you in a graph what the total amount of your bill is spent for and in what percentage:

  • Energy: the part of the total for the contracted power and electricity consumption during the billing period.
  • Meter rental: if you do not have your own meter, the percentage of the bill allocated to its rental.
  • Taxes: these are the taxes on the bill that are paid to the government for VAT or IGIC and for the electricity tax.
  • Transport and distribution tolls: the percentage share paid to the distributor for the maintenance and improvement of the Spanish electricity grid.
  • Charges, which in turn are broken down as follows:
  • Remuneration for renewables, co-generation and
  • Waste (RECORE) 49.35%
  • Deficit 36.86%
  • Generation in non-peninsular territories (TNT) 13.66%
  • Others 0.13%

Below you will find information on electricity consumption for the purposes of billing tolls and charges in the different hourly periods.
